We're a stand-up community in Belgrade in English, Serbian and Russian languages.

We simply love stand-up, and enjoy taking the stage with those who want to grow in stand-up, and help random (and not-so-random) audience members see what stand-up is really about.

Stand-up is a genre that needs a microphone, and that’s actually all. Lights, a chair, even a stage, these things are optional. That’s THE power: come up with jokes at home, sign up for an open mic, and get on stage.

We also love giving comedians a chance to perform. Stage time and working on material is the painful and yet necessary part of the genre. So every single week in Belgrade we host events where experienced comedians polish their masterpieces, newcomers celebrate their first successes and survive their first failures, and audiences laugh, or even think, “I probably could do that too”. And you definitely could. Come join us!

At Next Door Comedy, we kicked off in July 2024 with one mission: to gather people, crack some jokes, and build a thriving English-speaking stand-up comedy community in Serbia. Our comedy events are all about creating a space where locals and expats can enjoy open mic nights and more! And in less than a year we grew up into three-languages-under-one-roof kind of community and separated into a child project: Tight Five.
